I’m an online French teacher, but above all, I’m a language learner. I learned English, I’m currently learning Spanish and a bit of Greek, and in the past I explored Japanese. Each language has given me the same feeling at some point: being slightly lost, curious, and fascinated by what can’t always be translated. That’s exactly where Lost en traduction comes from. It started as an Instagram account — a place to share language anecdotes, cultural misunderstandings, and those small moments when words fail, but meaning somehow still gets through. Through my work as an online French tutor, I experience this every day. Teaching French is all about translating ways of thinking, habits, humor, and emotions. It’s about helping people feel comfortable even when they don’t have the perfect words yet. Because learning a language is never a perfect translation — and that’s exactly what makes it human. This website is the natural continuation of that idea: a small selection of tutor profiles — people I trust and have shared a lot with — for those who need support on their language journey and sometimes feel a little… lost in translation 😆
